St. Reigs School is exceeding state expectations in Math and Reading scores at the elementary school level. Based on last year's data, 46% of our students scored proficient or above in Math. That is 9 points higher than the state average. In reading, 52% of our students scored proficient or above; that is 6 points higher than the state average.

The High School is experiencing similar growth. In reading, 48% of our students scored proficient or higher; that is 2 points higher than the state average. In Math, we are two points shy of the state average of 37%.

We attribute much of this success to our hardworking teachers and paraprofessionals who remain laser-focused regarding student learning. Other key factors include our coaches who spend hours upon hours each week helping teachers perfect their trade by developing research-based teaching strategies.

Critics said that we would see a dip in our scores because of the 4-day school week, we thankfully are seeing the opposite. Since the inception of the 4-day school week, we have seen steady growth each year.

What a blessing it is when the staff, admin., and school board work together to help our students succeed. Our goal is to continue this success with the new testing format the state adopted this year. I believe with hard work, we will continue this trend of growth.
